The Caribbean Israel Leadership coalition also functions as a nexus between the Caribbean community, religious organizations, elected and public officials, civil society and the private sector and works to open the lines of communication between the government and people of Israel and the government and people of the Caribbean.
We host “A night to honor Israel” where we bring the faith and Jewish community to honor Israel and build a relationship.
We host technology and trade conferences in the Caribbean where Israeli companies showcase their innovative solutions that are relevant to Caribbean development.
The Caribbean Israel Leadership coalition enhances prospects of agriculture, green energy, solar farming, education, water sanitation, housing, and cybersecurity through innovative programs in the Caribbean using Israeli technology.
We host Economic Forums in the United States where we bring together investors, government leaders and major business leaders to raise capital to fund projects that utilizes Israeli technology in the Caribbean.
After years of experience in the field, Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition offers a suitable solution for the people of the Caribbean to achieve the UN sustainable development goals. By combining all the elements in one place, including solving the problem, cost-effective solution and by adapting the project to the needs of each area, through three pillars of development viz: Caribbean Israel Venture Inc, Caribbean Israel Center for Cyber Defense, and Caribbean Investment Initiative.
End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture for the less developed states of the Caribbean region:
According to a UN documented report, almost 800 million inhabitants, or one in nine of the world’s population, lack access to adequate amounts of basic food while more than
150 million children continue to suffer from severe malnutrition. The report warns that, at the “current pace of implementation, the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 2 will not be realized and its targets will not be achieved in many parts of the world.” This means that the smaller developing states of the Caribbean region will remain undernourished or malnourished
by 2030; and that, despite great progress in alleviating poverty, hunger and malnutrition will continue to be major barriers to achieving sustainable development in the Caribbean. It is worthwhile to note that the Caribbean is home to 53 million people. From the 800 million hungry people across the globe, the Caribbean is also included in that number. Thus, this should create a concern for the United Nations sustainable development goals agenda and 2030 target. Attention is also drawn to the lack of focus and funding to food security programs and overall economic instability inside the Caribbean region. The Caribbean ’s obligation to increase its own level of nutrition to improve agricultural activity is embodied in agricultural production and in the promotion of an effective distribution of food supplies. The United Nations development goals endow the right of every individual to be free of poverty and hunger, yet, it seems that the Caribbean is not on track to eliminate hunger and poverty by the targeted period of 2030.
The Caribbean region is incapable of responding adequately to its pressing development needs because of the low level of development, conditions of poverty, vulnerability to natural disasters, or situations of insecurity –and it is here that Israeli technology and innovations offer the prognosis to agricultural development and food security for Caribbean nations. Israel is the international forefront of advanced agriculture and produces 95% of its own food requirements. Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition offers a verity of projects in deferent levels in order to ensure the continuation of agricultural produce and supply, thus ensuring food security and reducing the cost of living for the people of the Caribbean region and for the development of sustainable agriculture.
The Caribbean Israel coalition reiterates its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 2 on ending hunger and eliminating malnutrition by 2030. For this to be achieved, Caribbean Israel coalition musters in the use of Israel technology because the need for great technical expertise to increase agricultural productivity and better food security is apparent.

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation:
Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition aims to use smart and affordable Israeli construction and engineering technology to build traditional and hurricane resistant resident homes and industrial buildings in the Caribbean region. Caribbean Israel Coalition believes that every person deserves a decent home, from which he/she can grow and establish his/her life. A home is one of the most important components of economic success and it’s a major expenditure per household. Caribbean Israel leadership coalition believes in examining the conditions of the land and investigating the best materials to build fast, durable and inexpensive of each area. In the Caribbean, Caribbean Israel Coalition witness a different and extreme weather, which greatly influences the choice of the materials and the quality and resistance of the construction.
Energy Technology: UNSDG – Goal 7:
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for Caribbean states:
Regional statistics indicate that Caribbean islands nations are heavily dependent on imported oil to meet their energy needs. USAID reports on the region also highlight that in cases where there have been declines in oil prices, regional electricity prices remained among the highest in the Western World, which has over time, restricted economic development and energy access levels, particularly among marginal groups and female-headed households in many Caribbean states.
This lack of energy security coupled with the Caribbean’s outdated power grid infrastructure, under-utilized renewable energy resources, service-oriented economies, small populations and unmet capacity for energy efficiency technologies sources are setbacks towards the Caribbean achieving the UNSDG, but at the same time, it impedes the progress of the Caribbean Israel Leadership coalition toward the Caribbean’s environmental and climate change goals by showcasing the innovation of Israeli technology.
Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition believes that all of the humankind needs to enjoy cleaner, greener, and cheaper energy. Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition will enable commercial and industrial customers to tailor the appropriate system to reduce their respective energy costs by introducing Solar energy projects, Solar heating systems, Waste-to-energy plants, LED street lights technology and more. Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition will customize a financing package in line with current objectives and long-term priorities. Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition business development efforts are now also focused on Micro-grids which identifies cost-effective storage solutions, enabling transmission security and energy independence.
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation to Caribbean states:
According to Sustainable development goal report 2017, “fresh water in sufficient quantity and quality, is essential for all aspects of life and sustainable development. Water resources are embedded in all forms of development (e.g. food security, health promotion, and poverty reduction), in sustaining economic growth in agriculture, industry and energy generation, and in maintaining healthy ecosystems.”
Following from this, new policies are needed to alleviate and build resilience to rising seas, droughts, and extreme rainfall in many of the smaller developing states in the Caribbean. Fresh and coastal water resources are the immediate water challenges in the Caribbean. New methods are needed to monitor and process the atmospheric and other environmental variables that are affected by changes in climatic conditions in the Caribbean region. Social development and economic prosperity for many Caribbean states depend on the sustainable management of freshwater resources and ecosystems.
Caribbean Israel coalition works in full cooperation with technologist and experts globally and will develop Argo industrial parks, advanced water systems, hydroponic system, R&D centers, effective water use with drip irrigation, and recycling water for Caribbean states. Cyber security Cyber Defense: UNSDG – Goal 11:
Make Caribbean cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Excerpts from the 2016 Cyber Security Report produced by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Organization of American States:
“Despite the increased improvement in technology in the Caribbean, these regions remain highly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Four out of every five countries in the region do not have a cybersecurity strategy or plan for protecting critical infrastructures. Two out of three do not count on command centers and cyber security controls.
According to the report, cybercrime worldwide cost US$575 billion a year which represents 5.5% of the global GDP and in the Caribbean, it’s costing US$90billion. With these resources, the Caribbean could increase fourfold the Caribbean Scientific Researchers.”
Cyber Defense Center–Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition is providing Cyber Defense Solutions for the Caribbean and developing the capacity of information technology professionals in law enforcement, security agencies, critical infrastructure, financial infrastructure and the private sector to defend against cybercrime in all its forms.

Gender Equality: UNSDG – Goal 5:
Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition believes that national policies must address the overwhelming majority of women in the Caribbean region, promote access to innovative technologies and practices, introduce then to climate-resilient jobs, and create safe working environments for women:
Working alongside the Government and other partners invested in economic growth —the private sector, civil society organizations, and media —the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition is committed to improving and increasing women’s representation and access to decent work. Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition is committed to enabling and facilitating access to services that level the playing field and increase the odds for women to fully and meaningfully enter, stay, and grow in their workplace.
A McKinsey Global Institute report confirms that $28 trillion could be added to the global GDP by 2025 if women, who make up half of the word’s work-age population, were to achieve their economic potential. Unemployment is on the rise in the Caribbean and there is a continued need to push hard for gender equality in order to create more and better employment for the women of working age in this region. The Caribbean Israel Coalition places gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls at the heart of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by unlocking the full potential of women in the world of work. Gender equality is a fundamental matter of human rights, democracy, and social justice, and Caribbean Israel Leadership coalition believes that gender equality is also a precondition for sustainable growth, welfare, peace and security in the Caribbean. Increasing gender equality has positive effects on food security, extremism, health, education and numerous other key concerns in the region.

Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss in the Caribbean region.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns for Caribbean states:
CIVI is an affiliate of the Caribbean Israel Leadership Coalition (CILC) which has a mission to facilitate closer ties and collaboration between the state of Israel and the Caribbean economically, diplomatically and culturally.
The mission of CIVI is to utilize Israel’s technology and investment to strengthen Caribbean nations while increasing bilateral trades between both nations.
Climate Change: UNSDG – Goal 13:
Extensive research provides insightful information about the planet, not withholding the Caribbean, and its changing climatic patterns, which is impacting the environment around us.
These studies indicate sea level rise is giving rise to high tides and land subsidence, triggering flooding, especially along coastal areas. Noticeably, the beaches on Caribbean islands are narrowing –a circumstance, which scientists believe is a direct consequence of Arctic ice melting, as Arctic ice minimum is decreasing at a rate of 13.3 percent per decade.
Additionally, the region is experiencing periodic months of droughts, which is detrimental as it depletes soil moisture and average regional precipitation and exacerbates heat waves. Consequently, this has posed great challenges to human lives, tropical plants, and animals; therefore, affecting overall regional economies.
To reinforce this argument, NASA scientists are highly confident that global temperatures, including the Caribbean, will continue to rise, largely as a direct result of greenhouse gas emission into the atmosphere, mostly driven by widespread human activities in pursuit of energy from fossil fuels and deforestation, which has caused carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere, has increased by 406.69 parts per million. Subsequently, global temperature has risen 1.7-degree Fahrenheit since 1880 and 16 of the 17 warmest years are occurring since 2001.
Already, the Caribbean is marred by intense regular hurricanes of which Maria and Irma clearly demonstrated that climate change is real.
On the flip side, the Caribbean region is experiencing changing pattern in average precipitation. At times, there are increases in precipitation greater than the national averages, which has caused rivers to over flow, flooded towns and villages, decimate lives and precipitated extensive damages to infrastructure worth millions. Likewise, sea level rise is giving way to high tides and land subsidence and triggering flooding along coastal areas. Noticeably, the beaches of the Caribbean are narrowing –a circumstance, which many scientists believe is a direct consequence of Artic ice melting.
Just Institutions: UNSDG – Goal 16:
Like other places on the globe, the Caribbean region is marred by incessant injustices and supported by unfair and imbalanced institutions. The role of the media as a forum for public discussion and debate must be recognized in the Caribbean. The media must be able to assert its role in buttressing and deepening democracy in the Caribbean.

Revitalize global partnership for sustainable development for Caribbean states:
As plans are initiated to build a climate resilient Caribbean, access to technology and knowledge are key ways to offer innovation and sustainable development to the people of the Caribbean. The Caribbean Israel coalition aims to support existing policies, legislative and institutional reforms and capacity building towards the targeted agenda of 2030. Within this vein, the Caribbean Israel coalition tracks climate-smart development, and food security in the Caribbean using Israel technology, as a means of achieving the UN sustainable development goals.
